One of the three PSA 10 1973 Topps Willie Mays cards sold for $79,200 Wednesday night in Goldin’s Vintage Elite Auction. The price obliterated the previous high mark of $18,260 set in April of 2019. The card is Mays’ last regular issue as a player and pictures him as a New York Met.
A 1951 Bowman Mays rookie was the top seller in the auction at $186,000 (record was set two years ago at $338,400, also at Goldin).
A 1962 Topps Baseball set, with each card graded PSA 8 netted $104,580. A rack pack box of 1975 Topps Baseball cards sold for $76,954
The lone PSA 10 copy of Frank Robinson’s 1958 Topps (second year) card sold for $84,000. The same card sold last May for $230,218.
He’s been a cash cow for sports memorabilia sellers, especially in Wisconsin.

Jerseys and shorts donned by Rookie of the Year Favorite Paolo Banchero, 2022 Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes, along with those from the backs of Trey Murphy III, Alpeerin Seguin, Josh Giddey, Walker Kessler, Franz Wagner and other participants in the game are being offered.
The auction runs through March 30.
Jerseys from the Skils Challenge, including Banchero’s, just launched and are up through April 6.
The New Jersey Devils celebrated the 20th anniversary of their 2003 Stanley Cup title last month, honoring members of the team that defeated Anaheim in a hard fought seven-game series.
This year’s team wore jerseys with special patches during the Feb. 25 game against the Philadelphia Flyers. Now, those jerseys along with goal pucks and others used in their 7-0 shutout are on the block through MeiGray Auctions.
All seven goal pucks and 24 jerseys are part of the auction, which runs through Tuesday, March 21.
