The most sought after cards in the latest product from Topps don’t feature an actual Major League Baseball player. They are the autographed cards of Will Ferrell. The comic actor is shown on ten cards, representing the teams he suited up for in a spring training stunt and has autographed ten copies of each.
A few were pulled in the hours after release and quickly sold online, at prices ranging from $700 to $2,000. One dealer said two separate customers were offering him $1,000 and $1,500 for each one he’d happen to pull.
It was reminiscent of the hubbub around Charlie Sheen signed cards inside last year’s product, many of which have sold for $1,000 and up.
By Wednesday night, four other Ferrell autographs were listed on eBay. Check them out—and the prices here.
If you can’t swing the autographs, there are unsigned versions sprinkled throughout the product as inserts. We grabbed a blaster box just for fun and here’s what we pulled.

Wednesday was a busy one for Topps. The company released 2015 Finest on Wednesday as well and brought Buster Posey to its New York offices for a few media interviews after signing him to an endorsement contract. Posey’s image will be on the front of Topps Series II boxes and packs when it arrives next week.
He talked about collecting and catching Chris Heston’s no-hitter with MLB.com.

It’s got some paper loss, but any sighting of an E107 Cy Young card is rare.
SGC has graded only nine of them. One of three ever graded by PSA is listed on eBay now.
