It was a big weekend at the annual Cranston (RI) show. It’s a charitable event that’s been held each year since 1976.
The two-day event took place at the Coventry High School Gym in Coventry, RI. Saturday’s turnout surpassed the entire weekend of any past show.

At NRG Arena in Houston, it was a three-day show put on by TriStar Productions.
The show brought in a slew of autograph guests, many with ties to the area. Former Astros, Rockets and Oilers were part of the lineup including Warren Moon.

For those who pulled a winning ticket out of last year’s Topps flagship baseball product, the long awaited party took place Saturday night in New York. Fifty winners got a free hotel night and an invitation to the Topps 70th Anniversary event, which was held at Spin, a ping pong social club/bar/restaurant in the city. The party had originally been planned for November in Las Vegas.
Ticketholders were joined by Vladimir Guerrero Sr. and Jr. and Yankees legend Don Mattingly, who posed for pictures and participated in a Q&A.

As usual, there was was plenty of swag, according to those who were in attendance. Factory sets and boxes that were exclusive to the party, other autographed cards and 1/1 Buybacks were just some of them.
The swag is something else… complete sets, platinum anniversary boxes, a Through the Years set, multiple autographs, and some buyback 1/1s of Ichiro, Mays, and Machado #cardchat #thehobby pic.twitter.com/bbto9TiCEf
