Late Tuesday afternoon, COMC announced a set of fee changes that will impact most users.
Thirty cents will be the new price for basic processing with an expected wait time of two months. Currently, the basic service costs 25 cents with a 2-8 week processing time. The Select service level fee of 1-2 weeks processing time is going up from 50 cents to 60 cents per card.
COMC is also creating special options for current year cards and accepting graded cards at any service level for an extra 30-cents.
If you’re an avid user, though, you’ll want to check out the full details on the changes, which are being implemented July 1.
Former relief ace Lee Smith and New York Giant turned TV host Michael Strahan have consigned numerous items from their careers to Goldin Auctions.
Smith played 18 years in the majors and had his best years with the Cubs. He was the career saves leader with 478 until his record was broken by Trevor Hoffman.
Smith’s Rolaids Relief Man awards, his All-Star Game rings and game-worn memorabilia are among the items he’s consigned.
Strahan is a seven-time Pro Bowler who was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2000s. He’s turned over numerous autographed game-worn jerseys, shoes and helmets, among other items.
The two collections will be part of Goldin’s Summer Auction, which open for bidding next week.
For the Pittsburgh Penguins fan who has everything—or thought they did—comes the latest offering from NHL Auctions.
They’re offering the “presentational carpet” upon which sat the Stanley Cup during the presentation of the trophy on the night of June 11 in Nashville.
With two days left in the auction, the high bid is over $10,000. According to the NHL, the “retail value” of the piece is $4,000.
The carpet is black and features the NHL Shield Logo in the center. Around the outside are the words “2017 Stanley Cup Champions”. The circular carpet measures about eight feet across.
Two carpets were actually produced so the league wouldn’t have to transport it back and forth. The other one was given to the Pens.
