The hobby continues to be the focus of stories on national and local news media.
Rich Budnick, the long-time shop ower of America’s Pastime in Fair Lawn, NJ, tells Yahoo Finance, he’s selling more cards than ever while trying to keep up with increasing values of certain cards.
“I can’t even keep up with the prices,” he tells Yahoo Finance. “And I’m selling a lot of stuff at the wrong prices versus the market because I hadn’t had a chance to raise my prices.”

Baseball cards meet…softball cards.
Topps has created a new set for the Athletes Unlimited softball league. The deal represents Topps first women’s professional softball set in the company’s 82-year history.
In addition to the 56 individual player cards, the set will include four “About the League” cards. Topps will also offer a special “Championship Set” starting October 5th that will feature the Athletes Unlimited Softball League Champion, Defensive Player of the Season and other award and highlight cards.
The set is being sold in on-demand format on the Topps website. There are randomly inserted autographs and parallels. The sets are priced at $20.
The Pittsburgh Pirates will honor Roberto Clemente on Wednesday, with players and coaching all wearing the late Hall of Famer’s jersey number 21.
Afterward, they’ll be placed on the MLB Auctions website. All proceeds will benefit the Clemente Foundation and Pirates Charities.
