Beckett Grading Services is opening a new office in Asia.
The company says it’s hired an Asia Regional Sales Manager (now that’s a big territory) to oversee things. He’ll be based in Seoul, South Korea.
Dongwood Lee has already started his new job after covering the sports card market for a magazine in South Korea.
Beckett says “Lee will be in contact with the many avid collectors throughout Asia and Australia who haven’t had the opportunity to get their cards graded”.
He’s been collecting for more than 15 years with a focus on basketball, baseball and golf cards and autographs.

Peyton Manning collectors…add one more card to your checklist. The Denver Broncos and Panini are teaming up for a special football card promotion this Sunday. The Broncos will hand out special packs of 2013 Score Football cards featuring a camouflage design before Sunday’s AFC West showdown against the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs.
There will be six player cards including Broncos’ stars Manning, Wes Welker, Eric Decker, Champ Bailey, Von Miller and DeMaryius Thomas.
It’s all part of the NFL’s Salute to Service campaign aimed at raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project, the USO and the Pat Tillman Foundation.

The final Ace Authentic-branded tennis card product has been released. 2013 Ace Authentic Grand Slam Tennis will pack 10 autographed cards per box (sample images showed all sticker autographs) and 12 boxes per case. Going forward, all subsequent tennis sets will be branded under the Leaf Trading Cards name.
“We’ve been very proud of our association with Ace Authentic,” said Leaf President Brian Gray. “What has proven to be a terrific run through 2013 will now turn into an opportunity in 2014 for Leaf Trading Cards to make new and distinctive sets covering this great sport. We can only hope to build on the momentum that Ace Authentic has established over all these years.”
In Ace’s Authentic Grand Slam Tennis release, collectors will find more than 140 of the best players in the sport’s history. Beyond base-level autographed cards for every player, the set includes several pinpointed autographed insert lineups. Every insert set has multiple parallel levels as limited as 1/1.
In the “Grand Slam Heroes” collection, there are 24 players featured who have captured Grand Slam titles during their careers such as Roger Federer (2009 French Open Singles) and Rafael Nadal (2013 U.S. Open Singles). The “National Pride” autographed insert lineup, meanwhile, celebrates the rich diversity of the sport by featuring 64 different players in front of their respective countries’ flags including U.S. icons like the legendary Stan Smith and Bud Collins, as well as Andy Roddick, not to mention overseas female sensations like Anna Kournikova (Russia), Dominika Cibulkova (Slovakia) and Ana Ivanovic (Serbia).
Rounding out the insert lineup is the “Personal Best” collection, which is comprised of limited edition autographed cards numbered to the personal best world ranking of a particular player. For example, collectors will find super limited cards of standouts like Jim Courier (#1), Stan Smith (#1), Rafael Nadal (#1) and Caroline Wozniacki (#1), as well as Gene Mayer (#4), Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (#5), Maria Kirilenko (#10) and Gigi Fernandez (#17).
