Mile High Card Company is closing out the 2016 year with what it calls “the strongest Extra Innings Auction to date: The auction includes a recently graded 1954 Topps #128 Henry Aaron PSA 8 and a 1984/85 Star Company complete set with #101 Michael Jordan in original team bags. The auction began on Tuesday, December 6 and concludes on Thursday, December 15.
Also offered in the online catalog is a very rare 1967 Topps Roger Maris Yankees Proof graded PSA Authentic, 1958 Topps #47 Roger Maris rookie card (PSA 8.5), a 1960 Topps #563 Mickey Mantle All Star (PSA 9) and a PSA 10 1973 Topps #280 Al Kaline.
The auction includes a large number of rookie cards, headlined by a 1951 Bowman #305 Willie Mays rated 40 (VG) by SGC, a 1986-87 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan (PSA 9), a 1954 Topps #94 Ernie Banks (PSA 4), a 1948 Leaf #4 Stan Musial (PSA 2.5), a 1982 Topps #21 Cal Ripken (PSA 10), a 1969 Topps football #120 Larry Csonka (PSA 9) and a 1979-80 OPC #18 Wayne Gretzky (PSA 6).
A rare 1952 Topps uncut strip used as a salesman’s sample is among the more unique vintage items. It has an $800 minimum bid.
The Extra Innings auctions carry numerous lots designed for collectors on more modest budgets. The auction will include lower grade Hall of Famers such as a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth, 1948 Leaf Joe DiMaggio, 1953 Topps Mickey Mantle, 1956 Topps Mantle and a T206 Ty Cobb (Bat off Shoulder).
Complete sets, partial sets, graded and ungraded singles, autographs and a variety of other memorabilia, most with starting bids of under $100 are among the 269 lots.
