Wish you could remember what that rare baseball card sold for in a catalog auction last winter? Wondering how much to pay for an item you know has sold at auction in the past? Now, you can look it up online in a matter of seconds.
PriceRealized.com is a sports card and sports memorabilia auction price database that has just launched. The site currently has over $1 billion worth of sales data for auctions dating back to 1991. The information includes sales through auction houses that are currently active and others, such as Christie’s, which are no longer in the sports memorabilia business.
PriceRealized includes data from Classic Auctions, Goldin Auctions, Grey Flannel, Heritage, Huggins and Scott, Hunt, Legendary, Lelands, Mile High, REA and SCP.
One unique feature the site will debut in early 2015 is an analysis of the investment potential of sports memorabilia items.
The site is currently operating in what’s called a “freemium model”. New users can access data from the last three years with no charge. Full access to the database costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year. Yearly subscribers will also get access to the investment analytic reports.
