Evan Kaplan, category director, trading cards/collectibles/new business development is taking on the role of director, licensing and business development, overseeing all of the MLBPA’s core licensing categories, including trading cards and apparel, among others.
Judy Heeter had held the position of director of business affairs and licensing for several years before stepping down in 2010.
Two other promotions were also announced within the business affairs sector.
“These changes create a staffing configuration that will better support the commercial goals and interests of the MLBPA in today’s ever-changing and challenging business and legal environments,” stated Weiner.
