TRISTAR, which runs the autograph pavilion at the National Sports Collectors Convention and also hosts several sports card shows each year, will open a new sports memorabilia store in Las Vegas a week from today. TRISTAR Sports Memorabilia will be located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
The store will feature what the company calls “an extensive array of authenticated autographed memorabilia. Babe Ruth, Muhammad Ali, Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Pete Maravich, Derek Jeter, Tiger Woods, Joe Namath, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and many more current and legendary sports superstars”.
The store will boast over 2,700 square feet of space with more than 3,000 autographs valued at over $1 million in its inventory.
“From $9.99 gift items to $50,000 Babe Ruth autographed baseballs and everything in between, there will be something for all sports fans and collectors,” said Jeff Rosenberg, the company’s president and CEO. “For the first time ever, we will bring our prized memorabilia collection to the retail market with this Signature Store at one of the most prestigious malls on the Strip.”
It won’t be your average card shop. TRISTAR is promising a Vegas-like atmosphere with big screen televisions, a VIP lounge and a staff of memorabilia experts on hand to answer questions.
“When TRISTAR does something, we do it big and first class,” said Rosenberg. “It will be like walking into a sports Hall of Fame, but instead of just looking, you can take pieces of the experience home with you.”
TRISTAR will bring some of the athletes and celebrities under contract in for autograph signing appearances when they visit Las Vegas.
Opening festivities include all items in the store being 50% off, plus autograph signings featuring Joe Montana, who appears on Friday, May 4 and Jose Canseco who appears on Saturday, May 5.
