Barely a week after the close of its Elite catalog, which netted the much publicized sale of the 2009 Bowman Chrome Mike Trout SuperFractor, Goldin Auctions has launched its next event. Their Late Summer Premium Auction opened Monday and is set to close over a two day period, September 20 and 21. This time, there are 1,643 lots, including hundreds of modern and vintage cards.
“With the success of our recent auctions, we have been able to assemble one great auction after another with little to no down time for the avid collector,” said Ken Goldin, Founder of Goldin Auctions. “We anticipate this auction will be the biggest one we have offered to date.”
Among the headliners this time: the 1/1 2013-14 National Treasures Horizontal Giannis Antetokounmpo Signed NBA Logoman Patch Rookie Card (BGS 9/10). Bidding was already approaching $500,000 within the first several hours Monday.
Also on the block is a BGS 9/10 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite LeBron James RPA (#19/99) and the lone BGS 10 copy of the 2009 Bowman Chrome Orange Refractor Mike Trout autograph card (#16/25). Bidding for the latest top end Trout card to reach the market was at $220,000 Monday afternoon.
The vintage card section leads off with a PSA 9 1953 Topps Mickey Mantle, which also reached $220,000 in early bidding.

- 1955 Stan Musial game-used and autographed Cardinals home jersey with stirrups
- 1960 Harmon Killebrew game-used, autographed Washington Senators home jersey, cap and pants, photo-matched from the team’s last season in Washington before they relocated to Minnesota.
- 1997-98 Michael Jordan game-used Chicago Bulls home jersey photomatched to the February 23rd, 1998 game between the Bulls and the Boston Celtics.
- 2019 Patrick Mahomes game-used Kansas City Chiefs road jersey from the November 18 game against the Chargers in Mexico City
- 2019-20 Luka Doncic game-used rookie jersey from December 12 in Mexico City in which he had a triple-double.
- 2020 Bowman Chrome Prospects Red Refractor autograph Jasson Dominguez (#1/5) (BGS 9.5/10).
- 2016 Bowman Chrome Prospects Red Refractor autograph Fernando Tatis Jr. Rookie Card (#4/5) BGS GEM MINT 9.5/BGS 10
- 2003-04 “Ultimate Collection” #127 LeBron James rookie autograph card (#190/250) – PSA GEM MT 10 (one of 16)
- Complete set of 2003-04 UD Exquisite Collection Triple Patch cards featuring Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and 26 others. Limited to just 10 copies, it’s the only known BGS-graded complete set.
