Thirty-seven jerseys worn by members of the 2020-21 rookie class in their first NBA games are now up for auction.
The listings at NBA Auctions include those donned by Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves, James Wiseman of the Warriors, Tyrese Maxey of the Sixers, Aleksej Pokusevski of the Thunder and Obi Toppin of the Knicks.
The jerseys are tagged and authenticated through the program conducted by MeiGray and the NBA and are registered into a database.
Edwards, the first overall pick in the 2020 draft, finished second in the league’s Rookie of the Year balloting after averaging over 19 points per game. Wiseman, the second overall pick, played 24 minutes and registered 19 points with 6 rebounds in his first game for Golden State. He had surgery for a knee injury in April and missed the rest of the season.
So far, bidding on the Edwards, Wiseman and Pokusevski jerseys has been the strongest.
It’s the second wave of rookie debut jerseys to come to market. A jersey worn in Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball’s debut sold for $55,100 earlier this year.
Bidding in the current auction runs through August 26.
