Collectors love his autograph–and fans just love Yogi. Now, the Berra Museum and Learning Center is getting a multi-million dollar face lift.
"The House that Yogi Built" — opened 11 years ago as the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center– will go through a $2.5 million renovation and increase space to show off the memorabilia of a most memorable life.
"What appeals to people is just how genuine he is and how he treats everybody with respect," said museum director David Kaplan.
Berra, the long-time Yankee catcher and Hall of Famer is 84 now, but still donned a hard hat and showed up for the groundbreaking Monday in New Jersey.

According to this story in the Newark Star-Ledger, the Yankees have apparently saved some special items from their former home to help boost the museum too.
