You’ve got to sell a little bit of everything if you’re in the collectibles business in Big Sky country. A place called the Jack ‘n’ Jill Boutique has a pretty good supply of vintage and modern sports cards, autographed memorabilia and other items, all sharing space with a variety of decidedly not sports collectible-related inventory.
Some of it is now missing.
The shop was burglarized a few days ago, with thieves stealing what the local paper seems to indicate is a T206 Nap Lajoie, plus other unnamed sports cards and autographs.
The crooks don’t appear to have the encyclopedic knowledge of a serious collector, though.
They took some autographs that wouldn’t have much value outside of the area and according to this story from KRTV in Great Falls–and left behind key pieces that could have helped them sell some of those signed baseball items.
