If you thought the authenticators went home after Barry Bonds broke Hank Aaron’s home run record with #756, think again.
It took Barry Bonds all of one day to break his own home run record. He’s not planning on quitting anytime soon–especially not as long as he’s a productive hitter–but Major League Baseball is still keeping tabs on every home run ball.
Authentication continues with new baseballs being put into play each time he comes to bat. Bonds is well aware of the value of baseball memorabilia and says he may create more historic pieces as he approaches more records.
