The new auction portal devoted exclusively to Michael Jordan collectibles is about to launch its first event. MJAuthentic23.com will offer 23 items in each of its auctions, the first of which will open Thursday.
Among the items up for bid are a 1990-91 Bulls team-signed Chicago Stadium court piece, a Jordan signed personal check, a 1988 All-Star Game banner signed by Jordan (UDA) an autographed jersey, a rare 1990 Action Packed Jordan promo card, several Type I Jordan photos and Jordan artwork. Minimum bids will be modest on most items, according to owner Ryan Friedman, a long-time Jordan fan and collector.
“We want people to have fun, enjoy the art of collecting and pursuing their favorite Michael Jordan collectibles,” Friedman stated.
Future auctions may include some higher-end Jordan memorabilia and cards.
