The Mint Collective, a large, first of its kind event that had been scheduled for later this month in Las Vegas, has been postponed.
Organizers say “increasing concerns regarding the Omicron COVID-19 variant” caused them to make the decision not to hold the event at the UFC’s Apex training facility and the MGM Grand Hotel January 28-30.
Instead, sponsors Collectable and IMG say they are now planning to hold it March 25-27.
The event is part weekend seminar/part marketplace, with dozens of presentations and discussions, many centered on the hobby as an investment vehicle.
Vendor space in the card show/marketplace that is scheduled to be part of the event had sold out late last week.
Cases of the Omicron strain of the virus have been on the rise around the country.
The Mint25 auction, comprised of high-end items and produced through Lelands that was supposed to be part of the event, will go on as scheduled online but won’t have a live component.
