Think only big leaguers have illegible signatures? Not so…but fans still pursue them.
Once upon a time, Albert Pujols was a lowly Midwest Leaguer. If you’d scored his signature back then, you’d have a great keepsake worth a little cash.
Most minor leaguers will never see the bigs, but they still get asked to sign baseballs for fans–even at the lower levels. The players’ signatures, even in the minors, can range from three initials to something a little more elaborate and they’re taught early on not to sign the sweet spot.
