John Miley has built what is likely the nation’s largest collection of sports broadcasts.
Some of us collect baseball cards. Maybe autographs or old programs. For John Miley, the games don’t really come alive unless they’re on tape.
The retired Indiana businessman started recording games as a kid. He’s now 75..and still at it.
His collection of sports audio is fun for him, but also a valuable resource for fans, researchers and broadcasters like Bob Costas.
Through the years he’s managed to come up with a pretty good archive system, so if you’re looking for that one special moment from 1969…chances are he might have it.
