Mile High Card Company will give away a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card to one of its consignors during this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago.
The PSA Authentic graded card, considered the most popular post-War baseball card ever made and Mantle’s first Topps issue, is worth about $8,000.
Each $500 of value consigned to the October MHCC auction earns one ticket for the drawing. The bigger the consignment, the better the odds to win, but everyone who consigns to MHCC’s upcoming auctions during the show will be entered.
“We’ve had giveaways for our largest consignor in previous auctions, but every consignor has a fighting chance this time,” said MHCC President Brian Drent. “It may be a world-known collector or a relative beginner, but someone will be walking away with the industry’s most iconic post-war baseball card.”
Mile High will be at Booth #512/514 where collectors can submit consignments and receive a ticket for the drawing.
The drawing for the card will take place at the MHCC booth on Sunday, August 2 at 3:00 PM. The winner need not be present and a video of the drawing will be featured on Youtube as well as the Mile High Card Company website.
