Mile High Card Company opened its Extra Innings Auction on Monday, with over 400 items up for grabs including complete vintage card sets and unopened product, high-grade singles, autographed pieces and other items.
A PSA 9 1969 Topps Nolan Ryan (second year) saw several bids placed as the auction opened on Monday. Pre-War cards on the block include Cobb, Ruth, Gehrig and a Hughie Jennings 1911 M116 Sporting Life pastel background graded PSA 6 but modern era collectors will find big hits from a variety of products mixed in with the older material.
Vending boxes from 1978 and ’79 top the list of unopened material in the auction and there are individual older packs among the listings, too.
There are several cards from the 1933 DeLong Baseball sets and numerous key rookie cards in more affordable grades than one often finds in major catalog auctions.
“This Extra Innings auction is a nice compilation of items to whet the appetite of collectors, and then the main event comes a few days later,” said MHCC CEO and President Brian Drent.
Bidding in the Extra Innings Auction ends September 23.
Mile High’s fall auction will follow, with bidding set to run September 28-October 15.
