He isn’t a Hall of Famer. His autograph isn’t scarce since he was generous enough to sign thousands before his death at the age of 93 several years ago.
But Mel Harder was one of the best pitchers ever to wear a Cleveland Indians uniform. He settled nearby and a chance meeting one day put one fan on a mission to make Harder the focus of his collecting efforts. Now, he’s sharing them with the city.
