The MeiGray Group has struck a deal with the Washington Redskins to sell the franchise’s game worn jerseys, saying it aims to “put integrity back into the NFL game-worn marketplace”.
The New Jersey-based game worn company is now offering the ‘Skins’ game jerseys in white and burgundy and the game-worn Throwback jerseys worn by the team during the 2012 NFL season. Prices generally range from $750-1750.
MGG will also be acquiring a set of the team’s recently donned Throwback helmets and also has game-used footballs from this year’s games at $250 each.
The five Robert Griffin III jerseys MeiGray obtained have already sold out according to the company. His white and burgundy jerseys (two each) were priced at $8,500 each. His Throwback jersey from the Carolina game sold for $12,500.
“Between the first jerseys of Robert Griffin III, the first year of the Nike-NFL deal, and the team’s gorgeous 80th Anniversary Throwbacks, this is the season to be working with the Redskins,” said MeiGray President Barry Meisel. “MeiGray is dedicated to offering only fully authenticated game-worn jerseys with our company’s rock-solid 100% guarantee of authenticity.”
MeiGray and the Redskins will offer unwashed game-worn jerseys identified by the game in which the jersey is worn. Jerseys worn by rookie Alfred Morris, second-year defensive end Ryan Kerrigan and veteran linebacker London Fletcher are among the 2012 jerseys already in stock.
MeiGray, which partners with the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League, also carries game-worn jerseys worn by the San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets.
