The Stanley Cup playoffs will be here in two weeks but collectors don’t have to wait until after the season to stake a claim on a game-worn post-season jersey.
Again this year, MeiGray is offering collectors the chance to pre-order a jersey worn by a player on one of the playoff teams who have partnered with the company for game-worn gear—and they’re giving one collector a pair of tickets to the Stanley Cup Final.
Five of the eight teams who are in MeiGray’s partnership stable have qualified for the playoffs: Boston, Columbus, Nashville, the defending Western Conference Champion Vegas Golden Knights and the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals.
Prices range from $350 to $7,500 for an Alex Ovechkin playoff-worn jersey.
Playoff jerseys are worn in no more than three rounds, through the Conference Finals. For the championship series, new jerseys with the Stanley Cup Final patches are prepared.
Once the jerseys are available and posted online, collectors can pre-order online at meigray.com, or by calling 888-463-4472. Those who pre-order a jersey before the end of that team’s first round series will be entered into the drawing for the tickets should that team reach the final. Jerseys are being offered for pre-sale on the company’s website. Jerseys available for pre-order online will appear with “Pre-Order” after the Game Type. A deposit is required.
Playoff pre-orders are non-refundable once the player plays in at least one game in the jersey. If the player does not play at least one game in the jersey, a pre-order may be cancelled and a full refund will be given.
