A familiar name in the game-worn industry has a new auction site.
The MeiGray Group, which offers game-worn jerseys and other items, many through its exclusive relationships with pro sports teams, has launched MeiGrayAuctions.com. Ongoing auctions are planned throughout the year.

The company is hoping to earn business by placing a premium on keeping fees low for buyers—in fact, their auctions won’t have a buyer’s premium at all. Those industry standard add-ons sometimes run as much as 22.5% of a purchaser’s winning bid.
“The hammer price is the final price,” said MeiGray President Barry Meisel. “As a buyer and a seller, I’ve always felt that the buyer’s premium is nothing more than an unfair hand reaching further into the pockets of customers. We won’t treat our customers that way. Never have. Never will.”

MeiGray’s auctions will have themes centered around leagues, teams and even individual players. MeiGray recently introduced the Connor McDavid-Edmonton Oilers-MeiGray Group Game-Used Equipment Program, designed to ensure the authenticity of game-used and game-worn items from the NHL’s brightest young superstar.
In fact, MGG works directly with eight NHL teams, providing fully tagged and guaranteed game-worn items including Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals.
Earlier this fall MGG, which also runs the ECHL’s Game-Worn Jersey Program, signed a deal with the National Women’s Hockey League. MeiGray is also the official game-worn source of the Washington Redskins.
Four separate auctions are running now including:
- Connor McDavid Game-Used Equipment Auction
- National Women’s Hockey League Game-Worn Jersey Auction
- Philadelphia Flyers-MeiGray Eric Lindros Hockey Hall of Fame Game Tribute Jersey Auction
- National Hockey League Goal Puck Auction
A Washington Redskins throwback uniform auction is set for next week.
MeiGray continues its partnership with the National Basketball Association in the NBA & MGG Game-Worn Authentication Program. Those auctions can be found at auction.nba.com.
