The Burlington County (NJ) Prosecutor’s Office is holding an auction of sports memorabilia confiscated from a local mortgage broker who defrauded customers.

Mark Begley, 52, was sentenced last year to four years in state prison for defrauding ten people and two banks of $183,000. He used some of the proceeds to build a collection that’s now being sold.
The items being sold include dozens of signed pucks, photos, footballs, baseballs, jerseys, a 1976 Canada Dry Phillies set and other items. Unfortunately some of the items are personalized “to Mark” and not all have been authenticated.
Electronics and other items were also confiscated and are up for auction.
All proceeds will go to the county’s forfeiture fund, which is set up to pay for crime-fighting initiatives undertaken by local, county and state law enforcement agencies.
