It’s a "Manny Being Manny" moment. The Red Sox star has an expensive grill he’s dying to unload and the eBay listing says he’ll throw in an autographed baseball free.
Manny Ramirez considers himself just another guy. Another guy who uses eBay to sell stuff he can’t use.
Manny (no feedback rating yet) has placed a listing on eBay, offering up a pricey piece of outdoor patio equipment–and a souvenir ball–to the high bidder. The listing includes photos of Manny with the grill.
"Hi, I’m Manny Ramirez," the listing states. "I bought this AMAZING grill for about $4,000 and I used it once. … But I never have the time to use it because I am always on the road. I would love to sell it and you will get an autographed ball signed by me. "Enjoy it, Manny Ramirez."
When ESPN’s "Pardon the Interruption" did a segment on the listing, his teammates in the spring training clubhouse had a few laughs.
Some players gave Ramirez an ovation when he walked through the room a few minutes after the segment aired.
"I’m a businessman, I’ve got to make a little money," Ramirez yelled with a laugh.
The listing includes photos of Ramirez with the Jenn-Air at his home in Florida.
