An Augusta, GA man has been accused of stealing millions dollars worth of Masters Tournament items over a 13-year period.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago is accusing Richard Brendan Globensky of involvement in a scheme that ran from 2009-2022 in which “millions of dollars worth of Masters golf tournament merchandise and historical memorabilia” was taken from Augusta National Golf Club and transported to the Tampa, FL area.
The Chicago Tribute reported that Globensky is a former employee of the club.
There was no immediate word on what type of memorabilia was stolen.
