Alan Bisson, owner of Spokane Valley Sportscards in Spokane, WA, was the victim of a major burglary back in March. Someone broke windows in his shop and stole about $30,000 of vintage baseball cards.
The case remains unsolved but that doesn’t mean law enforcement agents have given up. While focused on a rash of armed robberies that took place after Bisson’s store was hit, they’re still looking for the cards and collectors in a nearby state say they may have spotted some of the stolen goods.
The burglary would have been a huge blow to any card dealer but for the 60-year-old owner of a smaller shop in the Pacific Northwest, it’s meant he’s had to work hard to come up with more inventory to sell.
The Spokesman-Review of Spokane reports Bisson was hobbling around at the time the thief made off with the cards in his display cases.
