Press Pass Collectibles has signed Magic Johnson to what it calls “an exclusive long-term memorabilia partnership.” It’s the first-ever exclusive autograph deal for the Hall of Famer, according to Press Pass, which is one of the largest distributors of autographed memorabilia.
Johnson will sign basketballs, jerseys and other memorabilia for Press Pass, a division of Bell Sports Marketing.
“We are thrilled to welcome Magic to the PPC family,” said PPC President Kyle Bell. “We have worked with him many times over the years and this exclusive long-term partnership was a natural next step to protect and grow the Magic Johnson autograph brand.”
In addition to selling signed memorabilia on its website, Press Pass will be offering retail and wholesale opportunities for upcoming public and private signings with Johnson, as well as corporate signing appearances and custom corporate autographed items.
Johnson earned five NBA titles and three MVP awards with the Lakers and is currently the club’s president of basketball operations. He was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996.
