A 2010 Bowman pack that yielded the product’s best card, a Stephen Strasburg Chrome Superfractor is turning out to be the best investment one Virginia collector ever made.
Leonard Kim is the lucky collector’s name, but this time he’s not putting this brand new piece into his collection. He knows an opportunity when he sees it.
He knew the card will bring a nice return and that’s why he decided to put it on eBay. However, the card has become a bit of a media sensation. Once it climbed over $10,000 on eBay, it became a national story about…well…the newest National and his potential.
Even though Stephen Strasburg hasn’t thrown a pitch at the big league level, someone might be willing to shell out as much as $20,000 or more to own it. That’s the direction the bidding is heading as the auction was heading toward a close. Here’s the link with the card at over $16,000.
Meantime, Kim is enjoying even more media attention, which certainly won’t hurt the bidding.
