One of the sports card industry’s digital storefronts is going brick and mortar.
Loupe Tech, Inc. is opening a boutique, high-tech sports card shop next to the Wynwood Walls at 285 NW 26th St. in Miami. The store expands Loupe’s e-commerce streaming platform, which was created for sports card collectors and box breakers. The company calls it a “massive high-end, state-of-the-art card shop.”
“From the beginning, our vision for Loupe was that it’d be a one-stop shop for collectors,” said Loupe founder and CEO Eric Doty. “That has been figuratively true of the app, and now it’s literally true with the grand opening of our Wynwood store. We hope to give Miami collectors a new LCS that they’re proud to call their own because we’re certainly proud to call Miami home.”
Loupe launched loupetheapp.com less than a year ago and made an immediate impact on the hobby. Users can purchase packs of cards on their phone and watch as they’re opened live on stream. The cards are then shipped directly to their homes as all transactions are conducted within the app.
In the last nine months, Loupe has raised $15 million in venture funding. It has allowed Loupe to establish a headquarters.
The grand opening at the store’s location is set for September 23 at 6 PM. It’s an opportunity to check out the new store and enter prize drawings. Collectors who have the app downloaded on iOS or Android will be eligible to win additional prizes.

Loupe is also hosting a virtual grand opening Wed., Sept. 22. Collectors are invited to download Loupe to enter to win a PSA 10 2018 Shohei Ohtani Topps Chrome Pink Refractor. To enter, download the Loupe app on your Apple or Android device. Follow the Loupe stream scheduled for Wed., Sept. 22 by clicking the bell icon, and tune into the live stream to be entered to win.
Loupe counts the MLB, the Miami Marlins, the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame, PDA, Blowout Cards, and Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon as strategic partners.
