Joe Yetman has what would seem to be one of the best hockey card collections in all of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Dozens of vintage NHL sets, multiple rookie cards of some of the game’s all-time greats and everything else in between.
He does plenty of buying and selling online, but his last experience has left him feeling like a beaten goalie. A 1957 Parkhurst hockey set he mailed through Canada Post is missing.
Canada Post is apologizing but its detectives haven’t turned up anything yet.
Yetman was hoping to use the money to buy his son a nice graduation present this spring, but instead he’s found himself offering a big reward for the cards’ safe return.
One problem? A little too much confidence in the postal service. He didn’t insure the set for anything close to it’s real value.
