Miss the days of the free classified in the back of your hobby magazine? WantOutlet.com hopes to put sellers in touch with buyers.
Clarksburg, MD based EDL Technology has recently launched WantOutlet.com, a site where buyers can post any item they want and sellers can then contact the buyer to negotiate a price.
"For customers who know what they want, but don’t want to spend hours searching the Internet for something they may not find, this is a great tool," says EDL Technology CEO Marc Levant. "A customer places a want and may have a number of sellers competing for their business. Sellers don’t have to spend a lot of money advertising their products; they can log on and find buyers. It’s a win-win."
"This is a great way to do Christmas shopping for collectibles, memorabilia, trading cards, coins, classifieds, music, etc," adds EDL Technology President, Howard Edelstein. "Instead of scouring the malls, gift givers can post their friends and families wish list and find sellers quickly."
"It’s a great site for sellers – especially small businesses," notes Levant. "Instead of having to spend lots of money on advertising, sellers can check out the site and find buyers."
The WantOutlet.com enables customers to list items or services such as collectibles, sports memorabilia, musical equipment, gifts or just about anything else a buyer is seeking.
The service is free to both buyers and sellers.
