Items from several long-time baseball card and memorabilia collections will be on the market for the first time beginning Tuesday when Hunt Auctions opens its Premier Live event.
The catalog includes rare and popular vintage sports cards, photography, autographs, and game used items, headlined by the first installment of the “Texan Collection.” Curated over a 40 year period by a collector from the state, the collection includes a wide variety of valuable complete sets, type cards, high grade specimens, and scarce issues.
The anonymous collector worked to constantly upgrade his sets with some examples having second and third versions of the same sets based on condition grade. Duplicate copies of high grade star and rookie cards that he acquired along the way will complement the set population within the collection.
The consignment was large enough that items will be offered over the next few years through various Hunt Auctions catalogs.

-Scarce 1933 R300 George C. Miller Ivy Andrews un-cancelled card (Est. $10,000-$30,000)
-1938 Goudey Joe DiMaggio #250 (PSA 6.5 EX/MT+) (Est. $5,000-$10,000)
– 1947 Bond Bread Jackie Robinson complete set (Est. $30,000-$50,000)
-1948 Leaf Satchel Paige #8 (PSA 5 EX) (Est. $20,000-$30,000)
-Numerous sets to include: 1932 US Caramel, 1911 T-205, 1933 Delong, 1933 Sport Kings, 1888 N28 Allen & Ginter, and 1911 T3 Turkey Red
Mark Klug Collection
Dr. Mark S. Klug, known to friends and family as “Doc”, was an avid collector throughout his lifetime, beginning as a young boy and continuing throughout a life that took him on humanitarian missions where he helped provide medical care to people in underdeveloped nations.
Dr. Klug passed away on November 29, 2019 and his collection is being offered for the first time publicly. It includes numerous high-grade sets and single cards, all of which had never been graded.

-1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 (SGC 6 EX/MT) (Est. $50,000-$100,000)
-Numerous sets to include: 1953 Topps, 1955 Topps, 1956 Topps, 1953 Bowman Color, and 1963 Topps many of which are higher grade.
In addition to vintage trading cards, the auction will include another group of items from the Green Diamond Gallery Collection including autographed pieces, game used items, photographs and Hall of Fame autographs. Originally on display at the Green Diamond Gallery in Montgomery, OH, numerous items are accompanied by museum-grade framing.

-1994 Michael Jordan autographed Birmingham Barons professional model road jersey (Est. $25,000-$50,000)
-Cap Anson autographed calling card (Est. $7,500-$15,000)
-1933 New York Yankees team autographed display (Est. $4,000-$6,000)
-2007 Albert Pujols autographed professional model baseball bat Est. $1,000-$3,000)
Rounding out the catalog are installments from several ongoing collections of historic baseball photography including the Photo File Collection and a prominent African American publication.

-1954 Ernie Banks photograph as used for his Topps rookie card
-1958 Bob Gibson photograph as used for his Topps rookie card
-Numerous images of Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Christy Mathewson, Walter Johnson, and T-205 card examples with focus on photographers Charles Conlon, George Grantham Bain, and Paul Thompson.
