The jersey worn by LeBron James in the first half of the NBA All-Star Game sold for $630,300 late last week, setting a new record for a modern era game-worn sports jersey.
The price surpassed the previous record set just last month when Derek Jeter’s first MLB jersey sold for $369,000.
As they do each year, NBA Auctions is holding ongoing auctions for items from last month’s game. Each jersey is specially tagged and registered into the NBA and MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program.
This year, the NBA and the Players Association will donate all auction proceeds from the to the Mamba on Three Fund and the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation in honor of Kobe Bryant. The donation will be a hefty one. Most of the jerseys sold in the All-Star Auction sold for over $10,000.
Among the other realized prices:
- Anthony Davis $110,020
- Damontis Sabonis $40,625
- Devin Booker $33,570.00
- Luka Doncic $32,300
- Giannis Antetokounmpo $30,520
- Donovan Mitchell $27,220
- Kawhi Leonard $25,574

The price for LeBron’s jersey far surpassed any other sold on the platform over the last several years. His gold #23 shirt from the Lakers’ season opener sold in December for $87,250.
