1 of the 2014 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs is on the auction block.
The inscribed, autographed jersey will be offered by Infinite Auctions beginning later this month.
A malfunction of the AT&T Center’s air conditioning system during the late spring contest sent temperatures inside the building above 90 degrees and James was hit with muscle cramps.
He left the game in the fourth quarter and the Spurs used his absence to go on a 30-9 run and win the game. After initially departing in the fourth quarter, James tried to come back with about four minutes left but lasted only one play before he left again, with teammates carrying him off the floor.
After winning titles with Miami in 2012 and ’13, James and the Heat lost the series to Tim Duncan and the Spurs.
The jersey carries documentation from NBA/MeiGray. The jersey was later autographed by James with an inscription reading, “vs Spurs 6/5/14 GM 1 4th Straight Finals.”
