Leaf Trading Cards has been promising to enter the “super premium” product arena and on Wednesday, we got a glimpse of what their first effort might look like.
The multi-sport release will be called “Pearl” and fans of Panini Flawless will certainly recognize some of the elements.
For starters, Leaf will include gems on some of the cards and the cursive style of the font is definitely much like Flawless, which is a single-sports brand spread across its various licenses, comes in a briefcase and sells for over $1,000.
There’s no word on what the cost will be for Leaf Pearl, but according to the company’s Twitter feed, each card will be numbered to 10 or less and the product will have autographs of some pretty big names on the checklist. Among those scheduled to sign for the product according to Leaf are Nolan Ryan, John Elway, Mike Tyson, Brett Favre, Allen Iverson, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez and David Robinson.

Numerous themed low serial-numbered relic cards were teased including some multi-relic cards of Babe Ruth and other Yankee legends, Hall of Famers from multiple sports and those with relics of sports newsmakers from certain years.
The cards will use acetate stock on front and back. You can get a sneak peek in the gallery below.
There’s no word yet on product specifics, cost or a release date.
