One of the world’s top collections of T206 cards shares space in a Michigan office with law books, legal papers and other trappings of an attorney’s life.
Michigan class action attorney E. Powell Miller has his own law office but he’s also has spent the last decade or so putting together a major collection of tobacco cards and other sports memorabilia.
Rather than keep them at home, Miller has the cards sitting in a special display that surrounds his office. He owns the sixth best current finest T206 set on PSA’s Set Registry, with a number of cards ranked as the best on the market.
He owns the Honus Wagner (it’s a PSA 1) and all of the other major variations in the 500-plus card set T206 set except the ultra-rare Joe Doyle “NY Nat’l” error.
The average grade of Miller’s set is close to a 6.
The collection and the unique display caught the eye of David Ashenfelter of the Detroit Free-Press.
