One of the season’s most valuable basketball cards is still out there and now one online shopping platform is offering a Lamborghini to the person who finds it and sells it on their platform.
Whatnot says it’ll give away a 2021 Lamborghini Huracán to the hobbyist who lands the 2020-21 Flawless LeBron James Triple Logoman patch card and sells it via the livestream outlet.
The card has an estimated value of at least $3 million.
Panini’s 2021 edition of Flawless Basketball sits at the top of the modern high-end market and has doubled in value since its release in January, from $10,000 to a current value of about $20,000. The ultra-premium product comes in a custom-designed briefcase with ten cards included. About 6,000 boxes are believed to have been made with only a few hundred thought to still be up for grabs.
“The sports cards industry is captivated by the chase of the one-of-one Lebron Triple Logoman,” says Eric Shemtov, Head of Sports at Whatnot. “In the spirit of our passionate community, we’re leveling up the stakes with our own reward and we’re looking forward to the card being pulled on Whatnot.”
Whatnot hopes its Flawless break-a-palooza can expedite the discovery. They’ll host a giveaway of six Flawless boxes through the platform’s top users over the next few days.. Starting Wednesday, May 4 through Monday, May 9, boxes will be opened live online. The schedule is as follows:
