Two complete Kobe Bryant high school basketball uniforms, his 2000 NBA All-Star Game ring, a pair of 2000 Lakers NBA Championship Rings and a rare high school basketball medal awarded to Bryant from Magic’s Roundball Classic are on display at the Newport Sports Museum (100 Newport Center Dr., Newport Beach, CA), from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. for fans and collectors to see.
Half of the winning bid price from four of the items (* noted below) will benefit the BULLY Project. Similarly, the museum benefits four youth outreach programs including Athletes C.A.R.E. for Kids, Career Choices, Sport Yourself and the Legacy Leadership Project. Admittance to the museum is free of charge to all children, regardless of race or socio-economic status.
“We are thrilled to partner with The BULLY Project and the Newport Sports Museum so that fans of all ages can enjoy these rare collectibles from one of Los Angeles’ most popular athletes ever,” said Ken Goldin Founder of Goldin Auctions. “It is especially appropriate to display these items in this museum which was established to showcase professional athletes as role models to youngsters.”
