He grew up a Rose fan and still is. But this collector didn’t just focus on grabbing as many cards of the all-time hit king that he could.
He hopped aboard the PSA set registry and began assembling the best graded examples of Rose cards he could find.
Jeff Korth has the finest Pete Rose Basic and Master Sets in the world. His duplicate basic set – his “backup” — is rated fourth best on the registry. He’s loaned 44 of his cards to the Reds’ Museum and their new Rose exhibit.
Korth’s #1 basic set has a rating of 9.5 and he holds three 1 of 1 PSA 10’s: 1965, 1972 and 1974. His master set has 97.8% of every known Rose card with a set rating of 8.97.
