A collection of items from the career of Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew will be part of this summer’s 2012 All-Star FanFest Auction in Kansas City.
Hunt Auctions, which conducts the annual event on the day of the All-Star Game, will offer about 200 Killebrew lots in the sale, including numerous autographed items, trophies and other pieces. The preview takes place July 6-9 with the auction July 10.
While he was known for his career with the Twins, Killebrew actually finished his career in Kansas City.
Many of his household items were sold in a local auction in Arizona several months ago.
Dozens of pieces that are headed to the auction are also on display through Thursday at Target Field, home of the Twins.
Hunt Auctions President David Hunt stopped by KARE-TV on Tuesday to show off some of the items and talk about the display and the upcoming auction.
