A change in the summertime show lineup in Chicago, where a new entry promises autograph guests and a one-day rollback on admission.
Mounted Memories, the wholesale and manufacturing division of Dreams, Inc.has finalized its roster of athletes for the first annual FansEdge Sports Spectacular, to be held July 16-19, 2009 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont.
More than 50 athletes have committed to attending the show, including Cal Ripken Jr., Peyton Manning, Bill Russell, Ernie Banks and Willie Mays.
On Thursday July 16 all attendees will receive free admission and all four days there will be a free interactive area.
Friday marks "Price Rollback Day," Mounted Memories version of a "Hobby Stimulus Plan," with lower autograph fees for 16 athletes including Pete Rose, Dick Butkus, Brian Urlacher, Jim Brown and others. On Saturday, Ripken will be signing autographs along with former NHL Hall of Famer Gordie Howe, professional wrestler Ric Flair and many others.
Manning will headline Sunday’s roster of athletes, joining Mays and Ernie Banks and a Super Bowl XXXI reunion of the Green Bay Packers.
"We are fortunate to have some of the most beloved players from the past and present scheduled to attend, along with new enhanced features that will make the Summer Sports Spectacular one of our best shows to date,." said Mounted Memories president Mitch Adelstein.
