A day after the big deal, the first baseball card of Juan Soto as a member of the New York Yankees has arrived.
You won’t find him in a pack until next year, but Topps has created an online exclusive card of what the superstar might look like in pinstripes when he takes the field next spring.
The ‘Traded’ card is available until Friday afternoon via the on-demand Topps NOW platform. There will be numbered parallel versions included as a bonus with random orders of the base card. They include:
The 25-year-old Soto was the centerpiece of the seven-player trade between the Yankees and San Diego Padres. The 25-year-old outfielder has already won four Silver Slugger Awards and stands to earn a huge contract as a pending free agent.
Soto has an adjusted OPS of 157, which ranks fifth all-time through a player’s age 24 season. Only Ty Cobb, Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Mantle and Mike Trout have ranked higher.
