Sunday may have been the AFC Championship, but for Jay Pomerantz, every day is game day. The Long Island resident has spent the last two decades starting, building and improving his New York Jets collection.
From the playbooks used by the coach who brought them to glory during the Namath years, to game worn helmets, game used footballs, artwork, autographs and even a Super Bowl ring, Pomerantz has packed his home with everything green and white.
This is no ordinary collection.
The New York Daily News talked to a team official who not only knew of the collection, but says the team actually borrows things for display sometimes.
