The New York Knicks are taking advantage of the publicity surrounding their newly discovered star by trying to raise money for one of the club’s charity partners. A jersey worn by Jeremy Lin when he scored a career high 38 points against the L.A. Lakers last Friday is being auctioned off to benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
Fans and collectors can now bid for the autographed white home jersey, four tickets and a postgame meet and greet with Lin for the Feb. 22 game versus Atlanta, on CharityBuzz.com.
The online auction will end on Feb. 21.
Lin is this week’s Sports Illustrated cover boy and the photo on the front shows him playing against the Lakers.
Current high bid as of Tuesday night was $7,000.
