They call him Shady, and if you ask a couple of folks in Pennsylvania, LeSean McCoy’s nickname fits. He’s been sued by a sports memorabilia shop owner and a bar/restaurant, both of which say he failed to repay appearance fees for autograph sessions.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ running back was one of several players scheduled to sign at a Wilkes-Barre store last year. Unfortunately, just as the session was getting started, agents swooped in and shut things down. They accused the store owner of selling non-licensed goods and the charge stuck.
Sal Argo is now in jail, but his attorney is still chasing the nice, fat paycheck they say they gave McCoy. A court agreed with the plaintiff.
Meanwhile, the bar/restaurant owner says he hasn’t had any luck getting a refund for a different type of doomed appearance.
Here’s the story from Philly.com.
