Folks in Bondurant, Iowa may have been wondering why their Casey’s General Store always seemed to be a little low on sports cards.
The Polk County, Iowa sheriff is embarrassed.
The store thinks they got their man, but he’s denying it.
When football cards started disappearing from the shelves at a convenience store there, the store manager set up a hidden camera. He says it wasn’t long before the camera showed the perpetrator stuffing some more unopened packs into his clothing.
The man they spotted is a county sheriff’s deputy who was supposed to be protecting the place.
The deputy was arrested and charged with theft. Watch the story on KCCI-TV, the CBS affiliate in Des Moines.
