The new Trade Show Inventory Discovery Tool created by Mascot will be in place for two large upcoming card shows.
First launched at the Philly Show last month, the web based tool allows attendees at the upcoming Dallas Card Show and Burbank Card Show to find cards they’re looking for and who’s selling them at the event. It’s the first time specific items being sold can be located digitally on-site and is aimed at making show visits more efficient for those who have specific cards they’re interested in buying.
How many cards are searchable at the show, though, depends on dealer participation.
The tool is mostly for graded cards now but raw cards can also be put onto the platform. Dealers can upload as much of their inventory as they’d like from a spreadsheet, manually or in the case of graded cards, input a serial number and/or photo and the item will automatically appear on the dedicated web page for the show.
If an item of interest is found, collectors can visit the dealer’s booth or contact the seller directly via embedded Instagram or website links to facilitate a transaction.
Mascot says over 70% of Philly Show dealers who carried graded cards participated in the tool’s launch.
The Dallas Card Show is set for Jan. 18-21 at the Watters Creek Convention Center in Allen, TX. The Burbank Show runs Feb. 15-18 at the Ontario (CA) Convention Center.
